  • It depends on the effect you want to have. A powerhead near the surface will provide more surface agitation therefore oxygenating the water more. A wavemaker pointing towards the rocks will help to "blow out" more fish waste which will then be sucked up by the filters. Personally I would say water oxygenation is the priority as you can always Hoover up the fish waste when rearranging the rocks when territorial disputes occure. If you do use a powerhead make sure the intake is covered as fish

  • Hi. May i ask You something?

    I have Malawi tank 375 liters and i think i have some filtration issues. At first i had one Tertra EX1200 external filter and spraybar along whole back wall. There was not to much water movement. I decided to set up another one Tetra EX1200. Now there are two spraybars along all the back of the tank. My question is don't You think i should place there some powerhead for more woterflow? Expecialy between rocks? (see my videos for the view).
