This is the old, classic Larry Norman song.

Jesus came to earth the first time as a baby born in a manger. Then He died for the sins of many, having committed no sins Himself.

When Jesus comes again, which He surely will, and quite possibly soon, it will be as a conqueror, warrior and King. Are you ready? Don't get left behind.

Repent of your sins. Sins are transgressions of God's commandments. You shall not lie. You shall not steal. You shall not commit adultery (Jesus said to look with lust is to commit adultery in your heart!). You shall not use the Lord's name in vain. You shall not covet anything that's not yours. And so on...

Just to break one law one time is to fall short of God's standard - perfection. And if you fall short, you face His judgment and wrath.

To repent means to acknowledge your sin and you helpless state before God and to turn away from your sinning. You need to repent and to TRUST JESUS CHRIST, who died for YOU, and rose from the dead on the third day, just as the Bible says.

Repent and believe. There's not a thing you can do to save yourself. No religion, no amount of good deeds, not your own perceived goodness... nothing. Eternal life is God's gift to those who repent and put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, His Son.

Repent and trust Christ Jesus. Then you'll be ready, and you won't be left behind.

  • Your god has not had a single success yet. He made perfect angels. He made perfect humans on a perfect earth. He had a perfect son. And ALL of them end up tortured and dead. He ends up with a few thousand buddies to lay around paradise with for ever while ALL the rest are destroyed or tortured for eternity. Has there ever been a bigger loser? Ever? And you are banking that THIS time, this one last time, God is gonna hit the ball out of the park for you? Good luck with that!
  • See the guy singing in the video? He is one of God's successes. And I know lots like him. His life was one thing, then He repented, put his trust in Jesus Christ, His sins were washed away, and He became something else. That is how Christ builds His kingdom. One soul at a time. It started out as a mustard seed. It will end up the greatest of all herbs. One humble, repentant, believing, saved soul at a time.

  • i am a satanist yet i have always loved this song thanx for posting

  • I appreciate the kind comment and mean this in no disrespect whatsoever, but how can a satanist love this song? The song's message is about being ready for Christ's return, and you're not ready for that if you have not repented and believed His gospel. With all good candor, I ask you to reconsider your position iceddust69.

  • Personally I can't wait for the rapture way less fat ass nut cases getting in my face

  • for those who don't believe i would listen really carefully to the song this will happen and you DON'T want to be left GOD will return and when he does you have 2 choices depending on if you accepted jesus as your savour you go to heaven if you did'ent then you go to eternal TORMENT in Hell it is as simple as that.

  • Wow. Amazing. A man singing a touching, soulful ballad about telling people he thinks are wrong that they're wrong. How does he tell them they're wrong? By fantasizing about an imagined future and singing from the standpoint of that imagined future having come to pass.

I should write a song. I'll title it. "Welcome To Your Death Piano Guy, Now You Can Finally See What A Delusional Fantasy Christianity Was When You Were Alive"

    Brilliant, right?

  • There is evidence of God all around us. Look at His creation, to say that came out of an explosion is a foolish answer. Faith is exactly that - faith. I have faith that God is in control of everything, if He wasn't, then everyone and everything would of been destroyed ages ago. I just pray that God will one day take the weights from your eyes that prevent you from seeing the truth. Really think about the logic of an explosion creating everything when all explosions destroy. God bless.

  • God is more than religion, He is a lifestyle, a choice to live for him.

  • Heh don't really buy the idea of the rapture too many issues with it and the whole end times scenario period, least of wich is the whole idea of Christians getting to watch those that doubted them suffer. But it's still a catchy song :> Heh I remember seeing the first movie, never did get around to watching all four, rented them but just never finished not sure why.

  • God HAS had a success. iv'e seen many people saved in just MY life. God IS Powerful! and I believe that. no im not like 50. im 15 going on 16.

  • great for me. with a year of bad choices and being on the verge of losing it. i went to church one sunday. just one sunday. im now a youth counselor. i got to stay in the military despite my bad choices. and have a whole new outlook on life. everything God does is a success.

you said "He ends up with a few thousand buddies to lay around paradise with for ever

while ALL the rest are destroyed or tortured for eternity" well im one of his buddies. and ur on the road to being the rest

  • "See the guy singing in the video? He is one of God's successes."

So this guy no longer sins?

He is no longer CAPABLE of sin?

That's the Bible definition of "born again."

How's that working out for you, so far?
