Rebels refusal of African Union Roadmap

Call for western governments to attack your country, you will not have any crediblity. Any peaceful change will have them defeated.

Airstrikes bear no relationship to the protection of civilians, they are just hitting randomly, almost as though they are having fun trying things out.

We hope that some reasonable people in the west will start rethinking.

on 20.4. a fact finding mission from the Human Rights Council of the UN will arrive here to investigate mercenary claims, air bombardments of civilians by the Libyan government and killing civilians in peaceful demonstrations.
We are ready to fully cooperate and prove our innocence.
You are not a civilian if you are in civilian clothing and holding up a Kalashnikov.
We have not used any mercenaries, we have been fighting a just fight with the army, the tribes and thousands of LIbyan volunteers. Many people, including international organisations are choosing to ignore the fact that we have black LIbyans, they are as Libyan as any.
My friends and mates and those working here are disturbed by the way they are being portrayed as working for an oppressor. Most people you see here do what they do because they believe it's the moral choice. Many work for free. Many want political change, but we want this to happen peacefully, gradually and from within not from without.
We believe that the leader is a unifying figure to help us move forward without collapsing into the same conditions that Iraq is in at the moment or somalia - even Egypt and Tunisia, who are in a terrible state with the rise of crime.
Our moral position is that we are siding with the Libyan people who want change. But this change has to happen peacefully, gradually and from within.
The armed rebels lost their moral position from the very beginning - the first day they held up arms, we sided against them.

120 children under control of armed militias, we request the Red Cross intervene and help take them out of Misrata, government will provide them with everything they need to do so.

Why is it that when we ask for fact finding missions we get sent bullets and journalists? We need experts to decide and prove how these people died, what kind of bullets, where from etc.
Our army would never kill children they are from the same tribes as these children, but the rebels, Alqaeda would, they have no moral centre.

Moussa Koussa not as important as the millions of ordinary people rallying.
