Nirvana, Come as you are: A guitar effects demonstration showcasing the Electro-Harmonix Small Clone effects pedal. The same pedal Kurt used on this song. I did NOT spend must time trying to get the sound exact, I just went with what I thought sounded good by memory.

  • can you have distrotion with that?

  • Sounds really good! What guitar and amp did you use?

  • @durr529 I used a 1979 Fender Stratocaster with a Marshall Mode Four Head & Cab.

  • Sounds alot like the unplugged verison of Come As You Are :)

  • @justinord Cool... yeah, I didn't really try to get it exact but it did sound close... I know the depth switch really makes a big difference when it is up... makes the effect much more apparent. I'll check that unplugged version out again.

  • @Kangaroopoo007 at least fender headstocks don't snap off like Gibsons do...

  • @Kangaroopoo007 Watch out we have a badass that plays a gibson

    you're so cool

  • @slangdoll thats nice

  • @yochillman420 DCGFAD....yes it is! stop being an ass...look it up ha ha

(although some idiots also think its drop d...its just D

  • @Kangaroopoo007

come as you are isn't in D ... stop being an ass ..

  • ah that explains that horrible sound...its a fender...buzzing, unstable strings, thin sounding pickups...just what ud expect from a brand name that is meant to suggest quality

nice effect though, and the guy needs to learn the song before covering it...also do you realise its in D, not in standard tuning...that might help you (or can ur fender not do that tuning?) ha ha

  • @GrungeyMr He did use this pedal at a certain time, but the EHX polychorus was used on tour and in the studio more often :-)

  • @justinord what? thats waird... maybe he switch the cables to it when he played caya
