Audi A4 2.5TDI Sport 2003 Multitronic PRNDS fault

When driving the gearbox jumps from D to S for no reason. The gearstick is always in D. When its stuck in S and you slide it over to the gear selector it stops in S nott he number of the gear. When you click it over N an the R the screen goes off. When it gets to P the dash flashes PRNDS over and over again. The reverse gear now fails. Got to love Audis!

7thwiliams i was giving it some stick then letting th power die. CVT gearboxes do this normal autos show the gear your in.

as the jedi/wizard tells me it had to have a new computer.

PRNDS flash was removed straight away.

traction control skip and lurching under brake was caused by a faulty temp sender!

drives great, multitronic still wont go into 3rd another 800 - 900 for a clutch pack.

I can live with that one.

still recomend CVT gearbox as drves great.

fixed £800 from a specialist a Silverlink car sales place Vroom Vroom. new computer and engine temp sensor. Drives like a dream now!

Any clue why the gear indicator lights up altogether instead of the selected gear and the rev increases as well while driving sometimes? (audi a4 avant2.0tdi 2005model)
