A hike showcasing native wildflowers in the lower elevation Cascade Mountains. Sauer's Trail and Sauers Mountain is just outside of Peshastin Washington and near Leavenworth and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

The trail to the top of the mountain is only 2 1/2 miles long, an easy day hike for most. Going to the top is worth the view and a good lunch spot, but there is also a shorter loop trail that also has great views of the town of the Leavenworth, the Upper Wenatchee Valley, and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and Tumwater.

Now if you were counting- that is 5 Lomatium or biscuitroots total in bloom at this time!

For some reason these videos do not play automatically in good resolution, please choose to watch in high definition- then you can actually see the Lomatiums.
