@skata123456789456123 then IMO, as a personal trainer, you should first help the average person achieve that sort of flexibility before going any further with their training. IMO having great flexibility and mobility is 100x more important to the average joe's quality of life than any weight they could lift
@afghanforlife In order to have a correct form on ATG squats, you need really good hip and ankle mobility and really flexible hamstrings, among other things. Things that the average person, sitting in a chair about 8 hours per day, has not.
if the form is spot on why do you have a problem recommending it for anyone? A beginner would have less weight on the bar but form must be spot on as in this.
@afghanforlife If you see my post, I say that his form is spot on. And I agree with you with the part about the hip just below knee level low bar squat, it's the best option for the average joe. Actually, box squats with the box at parallel is the best for someone who just starts squatting.
he's technique is perfect. It's partial squats which bust the knee not going through a full range of motion. You must hit just below parallel with your hips.

@eowdaoc That can be done by doing goblets squats and prying.

wtf was that spotter doing holding the weight on the descent, better off having no spotter and dumping it behind than a spotter that can't spot.
