Where the Wild Things Are

This piece was created for the class Motion for Typography 1. The assignment was to create an opening sequence to the upcoming movie 'Where the Wild things are'. I tried to push myself in this project further than I have ever before. The aim for this piece is to give the viewer a mysterious yet curious feeling in anticipation for the film. The movie is based off the book of the same title by Maurice Sendek and the story entails a boy named Max who gets in trouble and is sent to his room without his dinner. Later than night he dreams of living in his own world where he rules the forest that is full of these monstrous creatures. It's new, different, and exciting. I used Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and Adobe After Effects CS3. The song was taken from our school's Soundminer database.
