This week we focus on the future in the here and now. We'll explore the potential of the tech industry in the region and hear about the importance of shifting 20th century learning in our schools into 21th century applications. Joining host Cathy Lewis for the program: Jim Batterson, a former NASA engineer who was Senior Advisor to the Commonwealth for stem (Science, Technology, Education, Math) initiatives under the Kaine Administration; Kim Land, with NASA Langley in Hampton's outreach for its Exploration Technology Development Program; and Michelle Larkin, a board member with FACES (Foundation for the Advancement of Creative Educational Solutions) and project manager for All Systems Go!, a tech conference in Virginia Beach July 8-10, 2010.
