Nice rig(might get one soon), a few questions I know these have a auto 4wd system, does it come come on instantaneous as soon as it senses rear wheel spin & switch between 4low and 4hi when needed and does the 5.3 engine have enough power to plow wet snow?

i have a 2005 GMC 1500 wondering how well it would hold up with a plow on it, Would it weigh to much? droping the front end a bit. Not sure anyone can help?

I have NEVER actually used the auto 4WD. I always switch it manually into high. I might have used low half a dozen times.
The 5.3 will push snow like crazy. I have Firestone Wilderness LE tires with 50,000 miles on them in that video. I put about 100 pounds of ballast in the trunk. This Yukon has 170,000 miles on it now.

On my Yukon, it requires only about 100 pounds of ballast weight in the trunk. I don't carry the plow around much when it's not snowing because it's soo easy to remove it. My truck drops a little but not much. Any spring shop can tighten your torsion bars for around 40 dollars and then put it back after the season is over. If you have a 4x4 it will do just fine. In this video, I had street tires and I could push snow like crazy.

when your stacking that much snow do u have your plow in float and just let it ride up by itself?

@dw1985
I think I was on float in this video. The snow was very light and not wet at all. If I was to ride up over dense wet snow, I might get hung up on it. I just got new tires yesterday so I'm ready for the snow.
