  • Really impressive visually, but where did you get many of these cues because they're not the originals in most cases. I would have hoped to see Chinatown, Under Fire or The Russia House as well.

    Planet of the Apes?

Great work though - genuinely first class.

Any chance of a follow up?

  • Hi, thanks for your kind words! Most of the music comes from the wonderful cd goldsmith conducts goldsmith, which has gremlins, wind and the lion, patton and papillon among others. Stuff like basic instinct, the mummy or omen comes from the official soundtrack while alien was (at the time) taken from the isolated dvd score. I would have also loved to include the scores you mentioned, but that would have likely exceeded the time i had (about two hours) for this general film music lecture.

  • Oh, this is so very special! WONDERFUL tribute a a giant talent. Thank you!

  • Really nice job! Excellent knowledge of both Goldsmith and the films.

  • Wonderful video, very nicely edited

  • A wonderful tribute and very well done! I think we lost Elmer Bernstein and Jerry Goldsmith within a month of one another. I will both their work but Jerry Goldsmith always astonished me. His score to the Wind and the Lion was spectacular and so many others too numerous to mention (even the theme to the tv show "Man From Uncle)! What a diverse and prolific talent.

  • Wonderful, just wonderful. Thanks for the tribute and upload.

  • This is a great tribute that you created
