Download and install an application dock program. Open the dock program and begin removing the default programs from the dock that you don't need.Drag and drop your favourite programs and folders. You can customize the skins, icons, docklets etc when your finished. These can be found in the official website of your dock program.

I just installed this and everything is working great! thanks! except when i start up Firefox the images remain on the top of my screen so i can't fill in any URL, what can i do to fix this?

Right click rocketdock > dock settings > position. Set layering to "Always on bottom"
