my fiance comes back from afghanistan in 2 months, but i live in texas and im driving up there to fort campbell for his homecoming, its going to be just me there for him only, probably...but how would i get on base? just hitch a ride with one of the wives? if someone could help me out with this that would be great.

I was a leader rak for that, and now on my third deployment. Nobody does homecomings as good as they do at Campbell.

JUST WAITING FOR THIS DAY TO COME MY HUSBAND HAS 7 MORE MONTHS BUT HE BEEN GONE ALREADY 6 MONTHS NOW. THAT IS THE BEST PLACE AND BEST TIME I HAVE EXPIERENCED WITH MY SOLDIER FROM COMING HOME THE FIRST TIME FROM IRAQ, NOW HE WILL BE HOME FROM AFGHANISTAN IN 8 MONTHS! RAKKASAN!!!!!

i was with my bf one day before he went to training at the base and he was in his cammies and seeing him like that made me realize that one day he'll have to leave to iraq :[

My husband was a Rakkasan and went to Afghanistan (2001-2002) and then Iraq (2003-2004) with them. He has since been back to both Afghanistan and Iraq and currently he is in Iraq with another unit. Anyway, I know this video was of the 187 homecoming after we were long gone but it brings back such sweet memories of homecoming. Gives me something to look forward to...again LOL Thanks for posting this.
