They call it The Endless Summer, the ultimate surfing adventure, crossing the globe in search of the perfect wave. From the uncharted waters of West Africa, to the shark-filled seas of Australia, to the tropical paradise of Tahiti and beyond, these California surfers accomplish in a few months what most people never do in a lifetime...They live their dream.

Director Bruce Brown creates a film so powerful it has become a timeless masterpiece that continues to capture the imagination of every new generation. When it first played in theaters, audiences lined up to see it again and again, spellbound by its thrilling excitement and awesome photography. But in fact, what's most compelling about the film is the sport of surfing itself, and once you've seen it, you'll never forget why.

  • @cleancab Never seen this movie, but I've surfed there.

  • @DeucyTheSurfer Well, I for one would have loved to have been around at that age at that time. 60s especially in the States must have been unbelievable. (if you had some money that is)

  • OMG it's from the 60s! I love this genre I have this poster

  • I've never surfed once in my life, yet I love this movie and it's 2 sequels.

  • I saw the film before there was a sound track. I was 18 and moved to Hawaii summer 1965 to attend UH in fall for what was going to be 5 heavenly years. That summer, some goofus non-surfers took me to (Punahou High School ?) to see "a film about surfing." Bruce Brown was on stage narrating pretty much the future Endless Summer sound track. I bought a new, custom made 8'10" board custom made at Hobie's from a NY kid at UH in fall. Mentored by the best (new friends), I progressed to 18' waves.

  • Favorite movie ever. Haha "You should have been here yesterday!"

  • wow... imagine finding something like that now... that would be my paradise.

  • @TheAm6789 The entire film is also available on DVD, so if you want to see all of it, buy the DVD.

  • @lulugal31 haha, i bought a poster because i thought it was just a decoration thing, until i read the back and it said "movie poster"
