@doctorgino2 Was wondering that too.

@codonauta Hiring one voice per part (OVPP)

@TassiloDavid there are ALWAYS at least 3 singers on each CHORAL part. Never 1 or even 2.
-
@doctorgino2 Do you know Jaap's recording of Vivaldi's cello sonatas? Brilliant work!

Yes

It's called singing and interpreting. All well suited (and historically appropriate) to this music :-)

Unfortunately, Koopman bows to current orthodoxy and uses one-to-a-part in his feeble chorus, unlike Bach who used at least two to a part and preferred more.

@TassiloDavid What are "One to a part" and two to a part? What means that?

I request BWV 150 please! That one has some cool movements! (Including the heavy descending chromatics in the Sinfoina.).

It's interesting how Lothar Odinius expresses the "waiting of the soul for the Lord" . I like it. thank you for posting BWV 131 with ton Koopmann andhis crew at youtube.
