hear is an idea. if the hole in your box is too small, run the cable through the space between your cab and your box. no more cutting cable and everyone is happy.

@215rant i havent got a clue it was a while ago. but i think it was $25 for the whip and $23 for the mount

what kind of mount did u use? can u use mirror mounts or do u have to buy seperate mounts to go on the bed?

Did it work at all? Did you make any contacts? This is very funny and I understand you was new to antenna installation. As long as you learn to do it right. We all made mistakes and hopefully learn from them! Gotta love that fat rg8 from the good ol days. Rg 8 is not really any good for anything but jumpers my opinion. I use rg213 for anything mobile and lmr 400 for base. I detest the skinny stuff.

@skipshooter782342 got it all done different now. new radio, new antenna and a new cable thats all one piece! lol talked with my buddy i lost him at about a mile but he could still hear me 100% clear
