@franka64 And you only heard two songs by El-P and tried to judge him from that? Go listen to his last album to hear a piece of his actual body of work. I don't really like Chino on this despite being a fan. But if you judge from this alone you probably wouldn't know why he his one of the most creative vocalist and writers. When Aesop makes as much varied kinds music as Chino then you can judge logically. Taste do not always dictate talent, sorry . Aesop has nothing of the same versatility. fact

@franka64 El-P has had some good word play just needs to write songs more often in my opinion, and other album is needed at this point. Aesop pushes the envelope on lyricism in a great way but Chino has been turning out mysterious and poetic existential lyrics with a unique voice with a good/bad quality reminiscent of greats like Lou Reed or Ian Curtis way before Aesop wrote a single lyric. Aesop is great lyrically but musically he doesn't have the genre pushing capability of Deftones.

@franka64 lil wayne is bad because he follows that same trend of mainstream hip hop. Heavy beats, ridiculous bass and lyrics about bitches and money. El-P doesn't rap about how rich he is and how bitches love him. I don't want to hear about how much money someone has or how much weed they smoke, I want to hear clever lyrics with a nice beat to it. Aesop Rock is my favorite rapper of all time because the shit that he says is like a puzzle, its one of a kind. Lil wayne is a dime a dozen.
