Al-Shabaab Attack at Liboi

A GSU officer has been shot and severely injured by suspected Al-Shabaab militiamen under unclear circumstances at the Kenya-Somali border in Liboi. North Eastern PC James ole Serian told Citizen TV that the officer was in the company of a colleague when they were ambushed by 7 heavily armed militiamen from Somalia who had crossed into Kenya. The PC however clarified that the injured officer had not died as earlier reported in some sections of the news media. Sylvia Chebet has the details of that story.
