  • Wonderful to hear this again.....memories!!

  • @libramoon2 There is nothing like memories. I think sometimes we can only make it through what seems like hard times is the memories of what we believe were better times. You can color the past but you can't the present and only hope for a better future.

  • A little info about Joe Valino, who died in South Philadelphia in 1996 at the age of 67. [He was also born in South Philly]. Prior to this 1956 hit -- which reached No. 12 on theBillboard charts, where it stayed for 20 weeks -- Joe sang with Big Band orchestras headed by Woody Herman, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey. He also had mild success with "Learnin' The Blues," but Frank Sinatra immediately covered the song and had the big hit with it. Joe also, for a time, played piano for Sarah Vaughn.

  • @vandywilliam Thanks for the info on Valino. It's hard to find anything on him. But I do remember reading somewhere that Sinatra put the squeeze on Valino's record Co to pull

Joe's recording of "Learning The Blues" Because Frank wanted the number all to himself.

  • Adam was Asian, and Eve was black. Why do you think they were white?

  • "W" dropped bombs on the garden of eden lol

  • I knew Joe back in the late 70's, I worked for him!. Joe (Monte), lovely wife Sidney, little kids Nicole and (brain freeze-can't remember). We sold retirement annuities to school teachers. We both lived in Hanover, MA. Joe was always involved in music, Played baritone and tenor sax, helped friend Bruce Petterson form a 17 piece big band which I "managed' (made t-shirts). Could always be persuaded to sing Volare. A good guy and friend, Very sad to hear he passed.

  • Look at my Channel to see the real Garden of Eden. I'm the one who found it. It's location is in the Northwest section of Iran, not where everyone else is telling you to look.

  • @markalson1938 I have the original 45 rpm of this song which I bought when I was 12 years old in Queens, NY. I can make a photo of the label and send it to you to post along with the song if you like. Just let me know. - Joe

  • @markalson1938 He is my uncle as well...I have two copies of the CD, my aunt Mary(his mother) gave them to me years ago..Its a great CD
