He never even resigned in a dignified way by saying he felt his force had no failings.
What an inept man. If he had just chose to be honest at the time of Mr deMenezes murder and blame his trigger happy racist force for their unreasonable killing then he would probably still be head of the police today & everyone would have understood in time that this would have been the right thing to do, when all the telling evidence of his underlings lies became public.
Sadly & clearly he had no courage.
