Windhoek (Namibia, Africa) Dr Frans Indongo Drive

Looking down Dr Frans Indongo Drive into the city of Windhoek (taken from outside Hotel Celia which is a pleasant economical two star hotel within a 10 min stroll from the city center). I was told not to walk alone at night and be careful where I went during the day. However only once did I feel threatened and that was when I blundered down a street in a run-down part of Windhoek where nearly all shops had been abandoned, broken glass everywhere and windows boarded up There were only a few groups of people to be seen (thankfully they were in the distance). I couldn't get out of the area quick enough. In the short time I was in Tsumeb there were two "whites" mugged at night.
