This is one of the solar and wind-powered streetlights at the panasonic center in tokyo. a battery in the base stores power generated during the day, and a high-efficiency bulb illuminates the area during the night.     Prob. <500 Watts, plenty for street lights, especially with hybrid solar panels on top.

  • Another council putting up a 'Seagull' in the middle of a city surrounded by buildings and they wonder why is doesn't work very well.
