A Tale of Two Sisters is directed by Kim Ji-woon and his/her staff.

Once upon a time, two little girls were sent to live with their wicked stepmother in the country. Su-Mi and Su-Yeon have had to go away for a little while because they've been sick, but now they're back in the family home, deep in the countryside and at the mercy of their seriously nutty stepmom, Eun-Joo.

  • Im a film major and I gotta say, the editing is AMAZING. At 6:37 there is a seemingly random shot of some plants and a wall, where nothing happens until it cuts to SuMi. It looks random but it isn't. Notice, one plant is alive but lower than the other, while the other pot is empty (dead?) and casts a shadow over the living plant, while a painting frames an image of a plant that no longer exists, like a photo of a deceased loved one. There's lots of these throughout the film, keep an eye out.

  • When the father said sue yuon is dead I got MAJOR chills.

  • @KurayamiAskue uninvited is a remake of this korean movie. There are quite a lot korean movies remaked to american movies

  • @KurayamiAsuke The Uninvited is a remake of this movie

  • @KurayamiAsuke But this is meant to confuse you more, because when the father said the sister was dead, it doesn't make sense b.c the stepmother had an entire scene with just her. This is b.c the step mom isn't even here, she's not dead but not at the house

  • This is just like the american movie The Uninvited; a little difference but same exact concept. Weird..

  • You know...I thought rewatching this movie would make it make more sense...like it did when I rewatched To Sir, With Love...but...nope...this movie still doesn't make any sense after this point...

  • i think after you watched this movie everything makes a sense and you'll understand it (;

  • I seriously do not get this movie at all!

  • so the sister is the crazy 1??
