Just pickedup a 1976 Mercuty 4cyl 850. Does anyone have the electrical diagram for this motor, any a few pics to connect all the wiring? Got a jigsaw puzzle from previous owner. Tyring to sort it all out

I just bought the exact same motor, same year too !!!! putting it on my 1976 BAJA Speed Boat !!!!! The guy i got it from had it on a 14 foot ski boat, it was doing 52 mph !!

It looks kind of small on that boat but it sounds good and started on first turn of the key. I'm surprised it went that fast though it looks like a pretty heavy boat.

It is an aluminum hull, definitely helps with the weight. Still pushes a lot of water. The 115 hp ('85 tower of power) only gets me to 37 mph at WOT. Needs a different prop, could probably do a do a bit better. It does not start as nice, though : (
