Robert Reed, from Canada, was involved in an accident in the Six Days Enduro Tournament in La Serena, Chile. He run very fast towards the closed park, injuring 2 people from the crowd. According to Reed's explanations, his brakes didn't work. It's hard to believe that, because his tires left a trail on the road...so brakes did work, a little late I think.

hey elreflejo, in all racing there is a chance of the spectator getting it, "Bob" Reed, my uncle told me exactly how it went down. his brakes failed. plain and simple. its neither his fault, of the spectator that was hit. this is the world of off-road racing. people get to close, and riders go to fast. its noones fault so stop pointing fingers. because, you as a racer, or a spectator, will have a 50% chance of going through the same exact thing.

Saludos.

It was a freak thing. The bike had a mechanical problem and malfuntioned. I agree with shacheifski2007. It was no one's fault.

People should realize that the video is only a piece of what happened. Within a few seconds he returned to see if everyone was ok. He was very concerned for the injured spectators.

The injured person spoke several times with Reed, and they accepted the fact that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shouldn't we all do the same?????

Its just one of those freak things. He is a racer, in the middle of a race. The spectators are just spectators watching a race. He didnt intentionally take them out, and they didnt inentionally get in his way. Its just a wrong place at the wrong time for both parties. It's just like the stuff at Baja, people along the track at a race have a chance of getting hurt, its not anyones "fault"
