The Twilight Samurai is, in my opinion at least, the best samurai film to date. Particularly because it's done so differently and it's unique to that of many other samurai films out there.

someone explain to me why this movie is so grat so i watch it too... in th trailer i see some love story and sad song.... maybe thats why americans nominated it????

Thanks for posting! This movie deserves much wider recognition. I know that it was nominated for the Oscars, though. Twilight Samurai already is one of my favourite movies ever and that isn't something I say lightly for every movie I see.

Twilight Samurai is an amazing film. Its sad that it hasn't really been publicised. Am doing a film analysis on it, regarding the stereotypes of the Samurai and how the film debunks these stereotypes.
