This documentary chronicles the successes of an innovative USAID development assistance program the Livelihood Enhancement and Peace (LEAP) program and its impact on the lives of former members of an Islamic rebel group in the Philippines, the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
The film profiles the difficult transition that four former MNLF rebels made to peaceful civilian lives, after more than two decades of fighting in the Southern Philippines.
Through the compelling stories, of these former MNLF combatants, viewers witness a striking illustration of the success that the LEAP development assistance program has had, not only in transforming the individual lives of its participants, but also in contributing to the overall peace and economic development in the Mindanao region of the Philippines.
