  • Not sure if I am asking the right question, but How do you actually combine the uvw unwraps in max? You showed how to merge the textures together, but what do you do in max with the uvw files?

  • brilliant this was most helpful.

  • what if your textures art to both the same size how would you do so

  • Hi. I've modeled a character in 3Ds max. My problem is that it's all done in one single object - face, clothes hair etc. I realize this might not have been the best way to do it, but I'm under a deadline. I've UV mapped everything, and created the diffuse textures.

How do I use an SSS map only on the parts where the skin shows (face, hands)? The rest is fabric, leather, and hair texture. Is there a way?

  • that was awesome !!

  • This is my career choice, I love it. Your video is an inspiration.

  • How do you combine materials and Unwrapping? Lets say I want a Plastic material on my Spoon, but on this spoon there should also be a unwrapping texture, how do I do that?. So the spoon has a texture but reflects as plastic.

  • Nice one! Xenomorph??

  • How did you actually create the maps (extrude them from the model)? I haven't been able to find it in Max, little help?
