i do feel sad seeing a potential runt among the litter, but i hope that one grew up to be more assertive (of course i am not talking about "the one in the middle" who hogged the bowl! are they from two different mothers, or more? wish they could all stay that little . . .

Actually, this litter was so huge that we had 3 runts (and yes, one mama), but you are probably looking at the runt of the runts! She had supplemental hand feedings to keep her caught up, and all did great. Little Runt is now an 8lb terror who is very spoiled!
