  • Great! But please don't blame me for getting into television news!

  • Hi there,

My dad [Peter Mayne] worked with you not long after you made this - and he's still got the original version on VHS! Grand job, never fails to amuse me!

  • Hi. I don't remember what organization he worked for since it has been a few years. I moved out west and became a news director of a small market TV station and one of the J-school grads that applied handed me this tape they say was used to show NOT how to be a reporter. It was about 30th generation with dropouts and sync hits. It was TOW. Wish Peter well. If he or you would like to contact me my email is chazowatverizondotnet. Thanks for the comments.

    Charlie

  • Whoever at WMG wanted to mute the audio all because of Don Henley's "Dirty Laundry" should be dragged out into the street and shot!

  • That is the original color bar animation by rich ehrenberg and mike kravinsky at the abc washington bureau. GVG 300 with single frame edits on one inch tape.

  • LOL at Mike Wallace, "So full of shit..."

  • My dad, Michael Putzel, brought this tape home from the Whitehouse when I was six. It was one of only a handful of VHS tapes we brought with us when we moved to Moscow in '87. As I result, I can still recite the entire thing! And for some reason I chose to become a TV correspondent ;-)
