@Rohkus back in the day , when you could keep the big ones, a 900 lb female was caught and it had 25 gallons of roe in it. properly handled and processed it would have fetched $10,000 for the roe itself but the meat on the big ones is not that good

@Gabriel4fish what kind of rod were u using and how deep was the water u were fishing in?

@KidODeath500 The water was around 20 feet deep. The rods are one-piece Shimanos specially made for sturgeon - I don't remember the exact name. You can always ask at Fred's tackle in Chilliwack, BC.

@tets36 If you watch the clip, you will see that we released it. We release all the sturgeons we catch, after scanning and in some cases tagging.
