Hey all, I got a new android phone and I figured I would check out how the video camera works and try uploading to YouTube for the first time. I thought the truck would be a good candidate. It's a 1989 F150 that started out 2wd and has progressed into lifted "almost" 4x4. I just need to re-gear the front to match the rear and than install the front drive-shaft. It's a 9" lift and solid axle swap with 18" wheels and 37's.

  • where can i get those rims i need some to cover the hub

  • me gusta

  • Who makes those radius arms?

  • @stunna1050 its not too bad. but you are going to have a hard time finding a front end that has the same gear ratio as the back. I took a 1987 chevy truck 2wd auto and made it a 4wd by buying a 1987k5 blazer I took the front end and rear end out of the k5 blazer and put it under the 1987 chevy truck and then all you have to do is cut a hole in the floor for the 4x4 shifter. and dont forget you need a 4x4 tranny to the 2wd tranny wont work.

  • OK tehknic, I was about to compliment your SAS. Looks good but I saw that it started as a 2wd so, even mo' betta! Nice job! Question, I also have a 2wd F-150. 1994 factory 302, 5spd. with air SWB. How hard was it to convert to 4wd? I know it prolly took alot in sourcing parts etc. but everyone tells me to get rid of it and buy one thats already 4wd. Your thoughts? btw, I rebuilt the 5spd last winter and then the motor this last summer so... you can see why I may want to hang onto it

  • seeing that truck made me cream my pants
