i own a full house 30. i was told that they are known for realy bad harmonic balance after 7000-7500 rpm. could that be a myth? if so then i dont see why i couldent step mine up to 8500-9000 rpm on the drift or circut.

@aronoxideultra check this vid...... RIPS 240Z NZDRA Nationals final first 7 and listen to it through the finish line, thats 10,000rpm.

At the 13 second mark in the video the pitch of the exhaust is 453 Hz. 3 pulses per rev for a 6 cyl = 151 revs per sec = 9060 rpm. End of story. Maybe they mean it makes 1100hp at 7900 and they took it somewhat faster than that.

@Circlotron You are correct, this engine regularly see's 10,000+rpm and its done a 7.2 second 1/4 at 185mph still on petrol :-)
