Don't give tithes and offerings (religion 2/3)

Alright so this is the second part of my religious ideas. Though I didn't mention it in this film. I'm not saying religions shouldn't raise money from sales like any other business, I just don't believe that they should be given money for free for no reason other then "god says so" which is why religion makes a huge amount of money.

The church is supposed to be the primary charity. If granny needs money for her prescriptions, the church should be able to help. If someone needs shelter, the church should be able to help. Church has bills too, how are they supposed to feed the hungry, house the homeless, & help the hurting? It's true some churches misuse money but not all. I'm a preacher & I work 40 hours a week to earn my own money and all offering goes to pay church bills and hos events geared towards helping the community.

Thanks for commenting!! Like I mentioned I'm ok with it going to a cause (helping the hungry, etc.) As for the bills, churches are a business in my opinion and should sell goods/services. Especially the larger, more theatrical churches that is built on donations not of its own money I find horribly wrong. When a church is asking for tithes and does not mention a charitable reason it shouldn't be asking for money. Thank you very much for your input!! I'm very appreciative!!!

Thats very cool! Their are many missionary groups that help out around the world (Africa, 3rd world countries, and disasters for example.) Most do really good work building houses, helping distribute food, etc. i just have a problem with the groups not raising the money (even classic car wash would make sense to pay the bills of the church.) If a church is just collecting free money I think that it should go to a cause not the pocket of the church leaders.
