Michael Moore Calls Out Mainstream Media on 'Rachel Maddow Show' (9/19/11)

"Last week, when Wolf Blitzer and CNN had that debate -- the CNN/Tea Party Express debate -- and Wolf stood there and called them his partners, I just thought, 'This is amazing, isn't it?' Because would you ever see the CNN/Nurses Union debate or the CNN/Teachers Union debate? 'Cause I think there's a few more teachers and nurses in this country than there are members of the Tea Party but we'll never see that in the mainstream media. And liberal organizations which have many more members just don't get the attention. 1,000 people arrested in front of the White House a couple of weeks ago on the tar sands environmental issue. Hardly any coverage of this. Can you imagine if 1,000 Tea Party members had been arrested in front of the White House? It would be the top of every news story. People are down on Wall Street right now holding a sit-in and a camp-in down there -- virtually no news about this protest. the tea party was never violent, just look at every tea party protest the places were left clean and the protesters were polite and well spoken, unlike the occupy wall street morons who have cost the tax payers millions because of the violence and filth left on the streets.

BUT when they start to buy the politicians to shape laws to make them richer then I will damn him as well. Did you all expect him NOT to invest earnings or make tax breaks? @Fridaey13txhOktober Lol well he is free to employ who the hell he wants to with the money he earned, same as you or I would do in our own ways. Unionized labor is still not hugely employed arcross the country as you know. When he starts buying legislators to bend the laws in his favor then I knock him in with the CEOs of wall street. The point is not being rich, or how you employ ppl, its using your wealth as leverage on polticos to break the system so the common ppl are no longer represented.

@Fridaey13txhOktober I dont think anyone ever HAD a problem with somebody getting success and getting rich. If they worked for it, then all the power to them. What issues ppl have is when they start to buy the lawmakers and your reporesentatives so that your politicians whom YOU elected no longer represent you. By speaking up, moore is sacrificing support from funders, taking heat from politicians, and putting his own money on the line. Thats moral courage. All I see is YOU whining.

@scopeless22 I'm worried because the U.K.s leaders will once again ignore their population and join in another attack on another country. The Saddam execution 2.0 in Libya today as an example we can see the war still rages in Araq, however the civil war in Libya between tribes will be interesting when Nato turns on them after receiving their cut of the overthrow money in resources.
