You've seen the hotdog video, now see the real deal... an actual finger!

Live demonstration are now available in our New Zealand and Australian offices. Please email us at sydneysales@gabbett.com or visit http://www.gabbett.com for further information.

SawStop's 10" cabinet saw was developed from the ground up with a particular focus on safety and quality. It features a revolutionary safety system that stops and retracts the blade (within 5 milliseconds) upon accidental contact, drastically reducing the severity of user injury. The safety system provides invisible protection (doesn't interfere with your work), is always on and performs continuous self tests. The saw also includes a European style riving knife (secured via a quick-change mount) that helps minimize kick-back.

This technology saved my thumb yesterday. Didnt quite work like this. Still mangled my thumb. But could have been WAY worse. I, for one, thank you Steve Gass!

In general, this proves nothing... his finger came in from the side and touched the side of the blade. I have always had a problem with saw stop, because I've never seen a video of a finger or a hand hitting the blade directly head on... which is how it would hit it most likely in reality....

still not convinced, if you look with high speed edit at 5:02 5:03,you can actually see an object thrown to the floor .Also not at anytime is his actually WHOLE hand shown in the actual slow speed edit. Also to use the middle finger as the one being cut,is the only way to hold a "fake finger" without exposing the prop. do your own edit, between 502 the end of tape

Its a tv show. The interesting part that you waited the whole video to see was about 20 seconds, but they cant just up and show you that bit right away, or you'll stop watching. Same reason they showed them cutting wood and meat like 5 times, and they showed the stopping mechanism over and over. It was just to drag the show on longer.
