Benefits of insulation
Insulating your pipes is one of the easiest DIY jobs you can do and is a great way to save on your energy bills. The insulation is just a few dollars per foot depending on the size, and it slides right on to prevent heat loss as your hot water moves through the pipes.
You simply cut the insulation to the length you need, open it up, and slide the insulation over the pipe. Then peel away the plastic to uncover the adhesive and seal the edges together around the pipe
