A before and after comparison video, comparing the sound of my Camry's engine, first with the stock piping and stock filter, then with the stock piping and upgraded filter, and finally with the upgraded piping (Part #8219) and upgraded filter (Part #8138).

  • i know what im talking about. read the owners manual. read a chiltons guide. the camry has a less beefed-up version of the 5sfe. but you are correct about the mr2 and celica, except that they use the 5sfe

  • the most horsepower a 5S-FE ever put out is 136hp, and that was in the 4th Generation Camry. If there was a 198hp version of the 5S-FE in the Celicas, people would have been swapping them into Camrys by now.

  • hahahahaha you said the 5-sfe... thats a OLD celica motor... dude get ur shit straight, i have the same car you do. the 5sfe is a stock 91-93 turbo celica version of our motor... it has (if i remember correctly) 198hp... if you have the 4cyl like i, we have 130hp (stock duh!) but ya nice i got the same filter, better setup

  • You obviously don't know what you're talking about...

The 4cyl engine IS the 5S-FE. The turbocharged celica that you're thinking about, the Celica GT-FOUR has a 3S-GTE motor, pulling ~250hp.

Besides the Camry, the 5S-FE engine was used in the early 90s Celica as well as the lower-end models of the MR-2.

  • hey man make a video showing u how to put the new one in ad how to take the old one out

  • It's pretty self explanatory... Unclip the airbox, remove the top, take out the filter, unbolt the bolts in the bottom (3), remove the bottom part.

  • How much did it cost?? And where did you get it?

  • how much did that cost again?

and do you think it would be the same swap on the 94 camry le

  • NICE DUDE

  • thanks for the video man

  • Save the money for an AGM gel battery or a TRD turbo kit makes more sense. Beware of cheap things in life. Probably wanted to sabotage your engine, which could last to 500,000 miles for your model.

  • I got one on my 92 camry and its a beast i blew a 6 cylinder camaro out in dat bitch da dude thout i had sumthing else in my camry but i poped my hood and he saw it was just an air filter

  • Will the piping work on the 1MZ-FE?

  • hah i have the same car but its a 93 same mods....except mine is a 5 speed and has a high performance exhust piping sounds nothing like a fart cannon which is beautiful
