Merlin.....I am so mad at him trying to kill one of my favorite characters... Morgana needed him the most, she trusted him only to get stabbed in the back by him. I know that Morgana is supposed to be evil in legends and stuff but I just love her so much, I wonder if Morgana will try to get Merlin back for what he did to her. I miss Morgana from the first season. Hope Katie has more screen time. Such a long wait for Merlin's third season. Wonder if Morgause will teach Morgana about her powers.

I've been watching Merlin the move from 1998 and morgana is evil there and all but if this serie is going to be so "exact" then why isn't she having arthurs child?

@09raindrop Merlin did try to help her out and lead her towards the road to use her magic for good. I believe had he seen her trying to do that he would have revealed his powers to her. But he saw he steadily going the wrong way so he could not give her support any more.

All it came down to was either kill Morgana or let Morgause kill Uther and possibly Arthur as well. So he choose to save Arthur and Uther since he believed them to be more important. To those who thinks he was wrong he was not. He did try to extend a helping hand to Morgana but she instead started to go down the wrong road so she became his enemy.

But if Merlin hadn't poisoned her then Morgana probably wouldn't have spoken up/done anything about what was happening. Then everyone would be dead and all that would be left would be morgana/morgause so morgause would end up changing/brainwashing morgana either way.

@jambajuzi The way I see it, when he poisoned her, he killed his friend, leaving a cruel, power driven person in her place.

its nice to see morgause really cared for her sister and wanted to help her ( though that kinda ends up bad). poor merlin though, he was so torn.

Well, it's not like it was a huge surprise to anyone. The episode before this is the one where Morgana says she disowns Uther, yes? This entire season has been building up to Morgana trying to find a way to get rid of Uther and his cruelty to people like her. So, of course Morgana is going to say anything so she can feel safe again.

@jambajuzi i get what youre saying but she did agree to killing Uther in the first place thats why Morgause put the spell on her in the first place. I love Morgana and Merlin but theyare both equally as guilty for how Morgana turned out :)
