This is impressive. However be aware that 19.4A x 120V is 2328 VA (volt-amps). VA are not necessarily watts. It depends on the impedance of the speaker at the frequency of interest (in this case 60Hz). To find true power being dissipated in the speaker one would need to use a power meter. Reactive loads (any speaker that is not at resonance) will have current that is out of phase with the voltage, and that means that you can't just multiply V and A and get watts.

No we didn't -- the coil was not discolored at all, though, so likely didn't get much past 300 degrees.
