Memorial (Curry) #3

This is 15.2h Curry (bred to be a pony, but he just grew and grew!). Curry's paternal half-brother is Olympic Bronze Medalist and 2009 European Eventing Champion Miner's Frolic. His dam is 3/4 sister to Pan Am Gold double medalist and USET 2007 Horse of the Year Theodore O'Connor, ridden by Karen O'Connor. Curry is, IMO, ironically, very, very similar to Karen's horse Mandiba, on whom she competed in the 2008 Olympics after Teddy's death. Curry's attitude, movement and even his looks are so Mandiba-like...well, it's just really cool. He will be four in 2012 and has been going under saddle for less than one month. PLEASE NOTE: Curry's rider is NOT an eventer. She doesn't even ride hunt seat -- she rides western and saddle seat. So PLEASE DON'T disparage her position or occasional problems with balance. We make do with what we have. Dawn is a totally awesome horsewoman with outstanding judgment and skills, but she just hasn't had a lot of time to adapt to a new seat -- and I cannot afford (and sometimes am not fond of working with) riders who would be steadier in a forward seat. Anybody out there who wants to work with me on some super talented youngsters without copping an attitude or breaking my bank, YOU'RE WELCOME. Dawn is a baby-backing specialist, so she's in demand and understands she may be limited in terms of how far she can take these guys. But I'm limited in MONEY (and patience, to a certain extent), so if you want it, act like it and I'd be happy to accomodate you with some really exciting rides!
