the version your mother listened to was the version which is the gold standard by which all other versions are judged and was sung bu Smt M S Subbulakshmiji!

I bought the LP album for my Mum too in the 70s. she still listens to it tho she has MP3 version on a USB stick and bose earphones now!!;-)

just browse you tube! there are several people who have posted the lyrics and the full English translation and transliterations you cant miss it even if you tried!

If you look to the right there ate several versions and many of them also carry meaning of the lyrics in English

my mom used to listen to a cassette of 'vishnu sahasranamavali' and i loved this concluding part! her chanting some of the verses this morning reminded me of this tune!

i vividly remember the singer - anuradha paudwal!
