Rosicrucianism uses symbolism to teach students about the secrets and inner workings of the universe. Rosicrucianism got it's name from it's founder, but also the etymology of the name Rosenkreutz is a key factor as well. In latin, Ros means Dew and Crux means Cross. Dew refers to the universal solvent sometimes referred to as Mercury. The goal of Rosicrucians is to turn Lead (the imperfect human) into Gold (the enlightened one). The Rose itself is symbolic for pure love which is a key to obtaining gold.

There are many modern Rosicrucian orders that teach students the sacred knowledge passed down through the generations from Hermes Trismegistus. Hermes Trismegistus means Hermes Thrice the Greatest because he knew the 3 parts of the universe. This enlightened individual was the Egpytian God of wisdom and magic Thoth and Hermes the greek god of wisdom who served as a messenger between the Gods and man.

Many of his teachings have survived past the ages and have presented themselves in a sect called Hermeticism. Rosicrucianism combines philosophy from all of the Ages from many periods of time stemming from Ancient Egypt, to Greece, Rome, Persia and even Tibet.

Rosicrucianism presents a compendium of sacred knowledge that provides true insight to the purpose of humanity and the purpose of life. This is perhaps the reason why so many of the greatest people that have ever lived and are living are so heavily involved in these teachings. This is not a religion, but a philosophy. This is not knowledge, but the truth.

Love. Light. Life.
