JUst a couple of days ago Trans State Airlines terminated all the nightshift mechanics here at Washington Dulles. I saw the whole thing unfold when TSA did this. They were terminated without warning
So much for growth.

Make mad money! Sorry No. Have all the glory? Again, sorry but no. Make sure the airplane operates correctly YES! This is what we do. We make sure the planes are safe to fly and ride on. We fix everything from a magazine spring pocket spring to the engines and airframe. We make sure the airplane flys safely even when the inflight entertainment is not working properly. What is more important? Movoe pr Safety?

actually dear, the FAA predicts over 80,000 job openings for mechanics by 2015 and there is still an increase in air travel. Sure there are lays offs dumb dumb, but the mechanics are the first to be called when they start hiring again. Everyone is getting laid off not just airlines! People dont just stop flying, regardless of the recession, people still FLY. I have a very good grasp of what goes on fool, I work in the industry!
