An old video from 2005, originally uploaded February 11, 2007.
The first Beta is a 1984 Sanyo Betacord model 4400. This was our very first VCR model we've ever owned. This model is a low-end model, but you can find this Sanyo virtually everywhere.
The second one shown is a Sears clone from 1983 (based on the Sanyo model 4000, which I also own.) Slight cosmetic differences and a geared idler are some of the differences.
The 3rd part shows my collection of Betamovies. I own the original Sony BMC-110, as well as the identical Sanyo and Toshiba clones of it. There is no difference between the 3 except the name on it and the colors. The Sony is from 1983. The Sanyo and Toshiba are from 1984. I have the original box for the Sanyo. All 3 work perfectly and use an image tube.
Wow The movie grease . My sister sean it 20 times in the 1980's .

That Sears model might be slightly older than the one I have. Mine is badged as a SR 1000 Series. I should dig it up, clean it, and do a show & tell.

That's the same one I repaired for a buddy of mines. I only replaced the belts and cleaned it a bit.

Love it at 0:25... The sound of the head drum with the music in the background.
