I was born at TGH, went to West Tampa elementary, played ball at McFarlane park, saw the Sombrero go down and Ray J come up and so much more! This video took me back to my childhood and made me laugh, smile and get a bit misty eyed at the same time. I have been away for a few years and I would like to thank you for the 5 minute vacation that you just took me on! Tampa has my bones and thank you!

Thank you for sharing those sentiments, WCFLA. I enjoyed viewing a couple of your videos, as well. We used to pass thru NC every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas, in route to the Smokies (TN). You look very much like a West Tampa native...you probably went to school with my children and played ball while I was coaching. Feel free to visit my videos any time you get homesick...there's a West Tampa Remix, Ybor City, Picnic Island, and 3 different versions of I Remember Tampa...Take Care.

This video has continued to gain viewers as time goes by. To all of you who have listened and to those of you who have commented, thanks...Yes, I realize there were many places that I missed, and I apologize for not taking the time to be a little more thorough. I hurried through the whole process, and as a result, some key landmarks were left out. If I ever get the chance to produce the song and the video at a higher level of quality,I will make sure I find a way to depict WT from all angles.
