This is the first part of a four part discussion of how I got into animation. Some people asked me how I got started, so this is much easier to do than telling everyone, person by person.

This part focuses on my disappointment with the current animation world, which is dominated by Disney and Dream works.

  • While I no longer animate (I jumped over to live action), I still love animation, and I'm glad to hear that there are still writer/animators out there who care about story. Keep up the good work; I can't wait to see what you can do!

  • Your definitely sounding like me on the animation in America and most of the world. It's a dying art form which should not go. The thought of it as only for kids does annoy the hell out of me too.

  • Then join me, become an animator. Together we can take animation back for adults and others older than 5!

  • I write very dramatic and creative works for animation. I am a new writer who also draws for my own works.

  • You are in luck. I am a good writer for animated stories. I already have a new movie idea that is new and it has a good story. It is called Ranger Rad. It centers on a space ranger caught in a crime war while teaming with a superb vigilante.
