@TheWatsonGreen I subtitled this myself and uploaded it because YouTube was in need of a decent quality EN version; I'm glad you appreciated it. Cheers!

@mlp1953 interesting, because "La Jetee" later inspired "Twelve Monkeys."

Amazing. Thanks for the upload

"La Jetee" was inspired by Chris Marker's viewing of Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo;" a film he had seen more than a hundred times.

Merci mon amie. Tres bonne traduction.
Thank you

@seekersum They didn't say too much. Mostly words like "A bit more voltage" or "That seems about right". It's not too important
-
@seekersum you need help? i could translate the german lines

This always slays me, it's so entrancing. Last Year at Marienbad is another that reaches this level of hypnotism. I'm glad you left the french voiceover with subs, I prefer that to the english version, the quality of the french narrator's voice is much more grave & fitting.

reminds me of somthing rene lalaox would do
Hello again. I am actually not a native speaker, but I've been studying French for the past almost 20 years, working with it, and I'm living in France. So yeah... If this is convenient to you, I'll be back with more thorough notes on your translation. In short, however, I've found it quite good, there are very few lines I would've translated differently, and you've found some very good equivalences for the rest. Too bad the German lines remain so mysterious :) Keep up the good work & thank you !

@Ainznando The subtitles themselves are fantastic, but they come so late sometimes! I really love your translation so if you ever would take the time to fix the time I would love to see it

@nyumetsu They ARE late sometimes... which gives the viewer a chance to absorb the image before being distracted. I have no intention to "fix" that... sorry!

Good luck to you, have a nice life :)

@seekersum I'm guessing you're a native French speaker, so I'd really appreciate your opinion on the quality of the translation...
