  • Hey Shad.

Is it necessary to spray some sanitizer on the saran wrap/foil when you aggitate the fermenter?

    Thx,

    John

  • @johnodon1968 No that's not necessary. They sell plugs at your local homebrewing supplier. Those are the way to go.

  • @goat45 hey Goat, great video, how many quarts is that pot you are using ?

  • What was the name of the brew used in this video, if remember, Plz& Thanks!

  • Ibander, no, you're thinking of later, during carbonation you do NOT want oxygen. But when setting up for primary fermentation, you want maximum oxygen for the yeast, yeast needs that oxygen to feed on the sugars. Yeast is like humans, using oxygen and excreting carbon dioxide. But of course, yeast also excretes alcohol.

  • i hear shaking it like can oxidize your brew and lower the quality if not compromise it. You notice that?

  • Good videos, gonna make ahs strong ale myself this weekend. I would get a bigger funnel if you haven't already.

  • Thanx man!!! really clear and easy.... i´ll try it at home. Drink happy!!
