The Lockheed Constellation, affectionately known as the "Connie", was a four-engine propeller-driven airliner built by Lockheed between 1943 and 1958 at its Burbank, California, USA, facility. A total of 856 aircraft were produced in four models, all distinguished by a distinctive triple-tail design and graceful, dolphin-shaped fuselage.

tbear0810, you are wrong. Ike's plane was a Constellation, not a Super-Connie.

President Eisenhower's plane was a Super Constellation. It is on display at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. The interior is as it was when Ike was President and you can walk through it.

It was and is a beatiful airplane, its a shame very few of them are left. I got to go in one once, but just about everything was taken out, and birds had made nests in the engines. Its really sad.
